The play of light and shadow on the object gives a sense of lightness to the object. The aura of this sunset light infuse the model with warmth and life.

The Guggenheim Museum Bilbao by American architect Frank O.Gehry,  is a great piece of architecture in the 20th century.The building is widely recognized for its curving lines, unprecedented form and uses of material. The museum's  Organic form resonates with the Nervión River passing by and the inter-connecting volumes of sandstone symbolizes the connection to the modern Bilbao community. 

Interesting facts:

• The main entrance atrium sits at the end of Calle Iparraguirre, one of the major road of Bilbao, running diagonally across Bilbao.
• The museum sits in the center of a imaginary triangle of the city's CBD.

My creative works

The model is a swirling staircase that is made by stacking small pieces of balsa wood on top of each other. Some balsa is cut into small pieces and laid randomly around the swirling staircase to depict the fragmented ideas that leads my thoughts and together transformed into a meaningful object. The small fragments of balsa wood around the swirling staircase paved the path that leads to the main object. In a similar way, the fragmented ideas paved a path that leads us to find the central theme which most resonate with ourselves.
